Exercise anywhere you want. Then log the activity and see your avatar move across the route. Catch a Google Street View of the new virtual locale, then cheer your real fellow racers! Share your bib on social media! Brag about your streaks or longest mileage!
Earn mileage each day to move your team across the finish line (and keep going after you cross until the event ends!Â
1. ONLY intentional exercise miles count. You have to post proof of your mileage on your team's thread. Your fibtit or other tracker dashboard WILL NOT COUNT and your mileage will be deleted if you don't have proof of Date, Distance, and Duration. Many of you have been using your Fitbit dashboard (showing your steps and miles so far) AND THAT WILL NOT WORK. If you don't have a watch, carry your phone and consider downloading Nike Run Club.Â
2. Each mileage session must be a minimum of 0.5 miles. You can have multiple mileage sessions throughout the day, but each must be at least 0.5 miles. Don't combine your total intentional exercise miles into one submission for the day. If you have a 0.5 walk, a 1 mile walk, and a .7 mile walk, do NOT enter 2.2 miles in one post to Racery. Instead, enter each individually for the day.Â
3. You cannot submit more than 7 miles total each day as an individual.Â
4. All miles for your day must be entered into Racery with the correct date noted no later than 2 PM ESTÂ except on May 6; you cannot enter mileage to Racery after 11:59:59 PM EST on May 6 because Racery will cut us off. If you cannot enter your mileage to Racery timely or register for a Racery account, make sure your captains have your mileage in time to enter for you.Â
5. Bike miles count as half mileage.Â
6. Check the day's post for the day's non-mileage exercise opportunity. Each day, an exercise will be posted that will give you an opportunity to translate it to mileage for our race. How much mileage the exercise is worth will be in the post. If you are doing the exercise and getting intentional exercise mileage, you are still capped at 7 total miles for the day.Â
7. Check the day's post for a non-physical activity daily. This will not translate to mileage but will earn your team points.Â
